- CONTEXT IS EVERYTHING -

There are various plans being proffered, by various entities, to correct the mess that is Penn Station today. One proposal is the simplest: to re-build the original station, designed by McKim Mead & White and completed in 1910. It was demolished just over fifty years later. I was asked to do series of renderings, of highly formal pencil line work with digital paint, depicting a rebuilt Pennsylvania Station in the modern context. Minor modern adaptations and accommodations were made to integrate the program into today’s world, with an eye to strengthening the pedestrian experience particularly.
